How We Wore It: Jumpsuits

The fickle Mississippi spring weather made this a little bit tricky (hello, 40 degrees in April), but we decided to try wearing one of our favorite spring trends – the jumpsuit – three different ways.

Ellie: I’m pretty obsessed with my velvet jumpsuit. It looks fancy, but it feels like I’m wearing pajamas, which is a win-win situation. I had a lot of meetings outside the office on this day, so I made it a bit more tailored with a leopard blazer. When I’m trying to make it more casual, I pair it with a cardigan or jean jacket. Another trend we featured in the magazine that I’m fully embracing is the mule flat. So I guess I’m pretty on trend with spring fashion. Ha! Oh, and did I mention the jumpsuit has pockets? (praise hands emoji).

Lauren: I decided to go with a dressier outfit, like something you would wear for a Mother’s Day brunch or a baby/bridal shower. The florals on my jumpsuit act as a statement piece, so I wore simple gold jewelry. A neutral heel completes the look.

Emma: I was going for warmth on this colder-than-usual spring day, so I added a few layers to my jumpsuit out of necessity. I actually really liked the denim-on-denim look, and my leopard print boots always add some interest to whatever I pair them with. On a warm day, I would un-layer and wear just the jumpsuit, probably with clogs and a neckerchief. The jumpsuit is chambray, so it’s light enough to wear during the scorching Mississippi summer, too.
