Spiked Sweet Tea

Spiked Sweet Tea


  • 1 gallon water
  • 15 black tea bags
  • 2 cups sugar
  • 1 1/2 cups bourbon
  • 8 cups ice


  1. In a large pot, bring the water to a boil. Turn off the heat and add the tea bags, making sure they are fully submerged.
  2. Steep for 18 minutes, then remove the tea bags and squeeze out any excess liquid.
  3. Add in sugar and whisk until fully dissolved, then mix in the bourbon.
  4. Transfer to a pitcher large enough to allow ice later on, and refrigerate until serving (then top off with ice).
